Mt. Hood Ski Education Foundation Community Sponsorship Program Opportunities
The Mt. Hood Ski Education Foundation (MHSEF) has provided ski training and education for youth ski racers since 1983. Our goal is to provide racers with an environment in which they can reach their academic and athletic potential, while fostering sportsmanship, work ethic, and fellowship. In order to achieve this goal, the Foundation relies on generous financial support from local corporations. Listed below are sponsorship opportunities for the current season. All opportunities are flexible and can be tailored to a specific sponsor’s needs. Furthermore, MHSEF is willing explore other sponsorship opportunities as they best serve the prospective sponsor. Program Sponsorship
Four tiers of MSHEF program sponsorships are offered. Sponsorship dollars are used to fund MHSEF activities and offset equipment, coaching, teaching, and race-related expenses.
Gold ($5,500)
- Gold level recognition in all events
- Corporate logo prominently displayed on MHSEF website and signage and in all program and race-related communication – e.g. announcements, start lists, results, souvenir program – and at the opening ceremony for the Buddy Werner Championship
- Corporate logo prominently displayed on some race gate panels, within race start and finish areas, at awards ceremonies and on all race t-shirts
- Sponsorship recognized in Mt. Hood Skibowl communications to over 35,000 individual
Silver ($3,500)
- Silver level recognition in all events
- Corporate logo prominently displayed on MHSEF website and in all program and race-related communication – e.g. announcements, start lists, results
- Corporate logo prominently displayed within race start and finish areas, at awards ceremonies, on all race t-shirts, and within Buddy Werner Championship souvenir program
Bronze ($1,000)
- Bronze level recognition in all events
- Corporate logo prominently displayed on MHSEF website and in all program communications
- Corporate logo displayed within race finish area, on all race t-shirts, and within Buddy Werner Championship souvenir program
Supporter ($500)
- Supporter recognition in all events
- Corporate logo or individual name(s) prominently displayed on MHSEF website, in all program communications, within Buddy Werner Championship souvenir program, and on Buddy Werner Championship t-shirt
Race Sponsorship
MHSEF puts on multiple ski races each calendar year, some attracting elite racers from all over the Pacific Northwest and beyond. In 2010, MHSEF was awarded the opportunity to host the annual Buddy Werner Championship for the top Mitey Mite racers, ages 9-12, in the Pacific Northwest – an opportunity which comes to the state of Oregon only once every 3 years. Numerous event-specific sponsorship opportunities exist. Race sponsorship dollars are used to offset race-related expenses and fund MHSEF activities.
Buddy Werner Championship Team Sponsorship
Regional Championship Event for top Mitey Mite racers from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho held each year. The top 7 female and top 7 male racers 12 & under attend this event to represent Mt. Hood Race Team. The 2010 event is will be held at Stevens Pass in Washington. 700-‐900 racers, coaches, parents, and spectators are expected. This sponsorship furnishes our 14 athletes and coaches with unique team uniforms and travel expenses for this race.
MHSEF Team jacket (Program Sponsorship + $1500)
- Corporate logo prominently displayed on MHSEF Team jacket
- Sponsorship recognition on MHSEF web site
Oregon 4-way Championship (February 3-5, 2012)
A unique 4-event competition (slalom, giant slalom, cross-country, ski jumping) drawing racers from Portland, Vancouver, Bend, Eugene, and throughout the region. 250-300 racers, coaches, parents, and spectators are expected.

- Corporate logo prominently displayed on timing shack in finish areas
- 2 complimentary ski passes each race day
Workers’ lunches ($250)

J3 Junior Olympic Qualifier (February 18 – 20, 2012)
PNSA Regional Qualifier Event for Junior Racers from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. To be held at Mt. Hood Skibowl, this is one of three Junior Olympic Qualifiers in the Pacific Northwest. 200 – 300 racers, coaches, parents, and spectators are expected.

Golden Rose (May 27-28, 2012)
The longest running, annual alpine ski race held on one of the only mountains in the world where you can race in May. Nationally recognized, this race draws elite skiers nationwide and is held at Timberline. 200 – 300 racers, coaches, parents, and spectators are expected.
