Welcome to Mt. Hood Ski Education Foundation, home of the Mt.  Hood Academy, Mt. Hood Race Team and the Mt. Hood Academy Ski Team.  For over 25 years, Mt. Hood Ski Education Foundation has been providing rewarding experiences in winter sports and recreation for youth and families.  A year-around program, MHSEF supports participants with fitness education, winter training, racing, school support, summer camps and community outreach.

Registration is now open for the 2008 Golden Rose. The 2008 Golden Rose will consist of two USSA-scored Slalom races held on the Palmer Snowfield at Timberline May 31 and June 1.  Seeding will be by USSA Points List #12.

This year's Junior Olympic teams have been announced!  Six Mt. Hood Academy J3 athletes will be representing the Pacific Northwest and Mt. Hood Academy at the J3 Olympics in Bogus Basin, Idaho: McKenzie Burns, Alyssa Bride, Ali Gunesch, Haley Hanseler, Steven Lantz and Stephan Splitstoser. Three J2 athletes from Mt. Hood Academy will be competing in the Junior FIS Finals in Park City, Utah: Keree Smith, Jake Davis and Austen Knight

The Craig Smith Memorial Fund has been established through Mt. Hood Ski Education Foundation, to provide financial support to Keree Smith and Kim Smith in their continued pursuit of academic and athletic opportunities. These funds will be used to pay for camps, tuition, and other related expenses to insure that, after the loss of their father, the girls can continue to pursue their dreams.

Mt. Hood Academy (MHA) and Mt. Hood Ski Education Foundation (MHSEF) held the inaugural Super Combined at the Bowl March 8 and 9. Competition included two Super-G races, one Slalom race, and a combinded event using the first SG race and the first slalom run. Classes included a J4 non scored event and a J3-A class scored USSA competition. If you missed it this year don't miss it next year.
